Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships For Women

The Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women program is an Australian Government initiative that is managed by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in partnership with the Australian Government Office for Women.

The Sport Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women program provides women with opportunities to undertake training to reach their leadership potential within the industry as coaches, officials and administrators.

In 2013-14, the Australian Government has committed $400,000 to be distributed through the Sports Leadership Grants and Scholarships for Women.

As a result, grants of up to $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for organisations per annum, and scholarships of up to $10,000 per annum over three years, are available.

Grants and scholarships are available in the following categories:

  • coaching
  • officiating
  • governance
  • management and administration
  • communications, media and marketing.

Applications will close at 11:59pm on Friday, 26 April 2013.  To apply for a grant or scholarship, potential aspiring female leaders must be supported by a sporting organisation affiliated with a National Sporting Organisation that is recognised by the ASC.
